Adrienne Johnston, BSc, DVM joined the AWFC board in 2014. She is a mixed animal veterinarian with a diverse range of experience in both large and small animal medicine and surgery. Adrienne grew up in London, Ontario, where she spent much of her youth riding and training horses; it is through her love of horses that she developed an interest in animal health. She graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2011 and prior to that, completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at the University of Western Ontario.
In 2013, she was selected as a sponsored participant in the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association’s Emerging Leaders program in Victoria, BC. Her professional interests include farm and companion animal welfare and public health. She currently resides in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
