Bianca Vandresen

Originally from Brazil, Bianca holds a Degree in Veterinary Medicine and a Master of Science in Animal Welfare. Her passion for accessible veterinary care began during her studies, when she volunteered with a non-profit supporting local farmers. In 2022, Bianca moved to Canada to pursue a PhD with the Animal Welfare Program at the University of British Columbia. She joined the Animal Welfare Foundation of Canada (AWFC) in 2023, supporting executive board operations and grant management. In January 2025, she became our part-time Board Coordinator, playing a key role in keeping the volunteer board informed and engaged. Bianca is based in Chilliwack, on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Stó:lō Coast Salish peoples, where she lives with her partner and their beloved rescue dog, Pampa.
