Chae Berry

Born and raised in the beautiful Okanagan, BC, Chae started fighting and advocating for animal health, welfare and rights at a very young age.

Working in veterinary and emergency medicine clinics since early, Chae has grabbed every opportunity to expand her knowledge as a technologist, surgical tech, client care manager and clinic manager while working with incredible doctors, behaviourists and specialists in the field. Deciding to move to animal cruelty and rescue, Chae managed the BC SPCA Kelowna Community Animal centre, and currently is working with the Okanagan Humane Society. By valuing and creating strong relationships with doctors and donors, fighting for funding at Regional District and City meetings and collaborating with SPCA Constables to enforce the PCA act in BC, she is striving to make major change for animal welfare, while bringing new outreach programs to her community in need. Hoping to be a part of the difference AWFC offers, Chae wants to truly bring Canadians, professionals, and advocates together to make that change possible.

If you need to find Chae on her off time, she can usually be found at home, under a pile of snuggles and drool with her furbabies – Link (mastiff), Winnie (pomeranian), Bentley (cat), and Finnigan (cat). She just can’t promise she’ll be able to get up to answer.
